Danica Patrick's husband is now in the past as the American racing-model stunner's request for a divorce has already been granted last 2013.
According to New York Daily News, Danica Patrick's husband, Paul Edward Hospenthal, who is apparently the racer-model's physical therapist, was officially divorced from Patrick last April 17, 2013.
Patrick was then reportedly dating NASCAR rookie driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. when the divorce was signed by an Arizona judge.
Court records reveal that Danica Patrick cited an "irretrievable broken" union with husband Paul Hospenthal.
Prior to filing for divorce, Danica already announced her breakup with Hospenthal on her Facebook account.
"I am sad to inform my fans that after 7 years, Paul and I have decided to amicably end our marriage," Danica posted November 20. "This isn't easy for either of us, but mutually it has come to this. He has been an important person and friend in my life, and that's how we will remain moving forward."
Danica Patrick's husband met the racer way back in 2002 after she suffered from a yoga injury. Reports claim the racer frequently visited Hospenthal's office until the formally revealed that they were dating.
Their relationship was filled with controversy as Paul Hospenthal was 16 years older than Patrick.
Nevertheless, Hospenthal and Patrick got married in 2005.
On the other hand, Sporting News revealed that Danica Patrick and her now ex-husband had entered a prenuptial agreement Nov. 11, 2005 - eight days before their marriage.
Despite their long romance, the couple had no children and no incidents of domestic violence was recorded from the two.
Danica Patrick is 25th in the Sprint Cup standings. She is the first woman to win the pole for a NASCAR Cup race.
