Meryl Davis' boyfriend is the talk of the town lately especially after Davis and Charlie White's grand-slam win during the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Although most of us know that Charlie has reportedly kept his fidelity to his off-the-ice girlfriend Tanith Belbin, we couldn't help but wonder if White happens to also be Meryl Davis' boyfriend, given their undeniable chemistry in every competition they engage into.
Meryl and Charlie recently grabbed the gold medal in ice dancing in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. This is of course considered as a milestone for the country that has never won a gold medal in the said category before.
Prior to the event, Meryl Davis' and her rumored secret boyfriend Charlie White are the obvious favorite to win the top spot. Looking back at their triumphs, it's obvious that the two have proven their determination to reach the pedestal.
Meryl Davis and Charlie White won silver in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and they have won two world championships, six national championships, and five grand prix finals, according to Bleacher Report.
What makes the duo special is the fact that they have been ice dancing partners since 1997. Their long-time partnership has always put them on the eyes of critics who can't help but question their possible romantic feelings for each other.
So is Charlie White really the man we can all refer to as Meryl Davis' boyfriend. The answer is we doubt it as Yahoo recently reported that the two aren't dating and that they haven't dated before.
"It's awkward because a lot of people like to ask if we are a couple off the ice. Because we are such good actors and it's a vital part of being an ice dancer to show we're in love on the ice, everyone just assumes, 'Hey, they probably are a couple off the ice.' We get that question a lot and it's a little bit awkward but we're used to it," 26-year-old White said in a 2012 interview with TeamUSA.org.
It's sad that Meryl Davis and Charlie White aren't boyfriend-girlfriend, but it's still delightful to know that the two have always maintained their chemistry on the ice amid the rumors and despite their platonic relationship.
However, we can't really say if the two will be more than ice dancing partners in the near future as HollywoodLife confirms that Charlie White is head over heels in love with his girlfriend, model and former ice dancer Tanith Belbin.
Charlie and Belbin have been dating for many years now. Tanith, who has recently taken a role as an Olympics analyst and interviewer for NBC, was voted by Men's Health magazine as the most attractive female Olympian in the Vancouver Games in 2010.
Meanwhile, it still isn't clear yet if Meryl Davis has a boyfriend or if she is dating anyone as of late.
