Jack Nicholson is dead at 76. At least that's what a circulating report claims. The Award-winning actor reportedly died in a tragic accident. However, it was found out later on that Jack Nicholson is still alive and he is perfectly fine as of late. The report was then slammed as another death hoax trying to get online traffic.
According to a report today that is making rounds on the Internet, actor Jack Nicholson apparently passed away at 76 after a single vehicular crash between Ipswich and Willowbank in Queensland.
The report also claims that the death of the actor was confirmed by Royal Queensland Police after the accident happened at around 5:30 a.m. Furthermore, the report states that Nicholson was on vacation in the area and he was only identified using the photo ID investigators found at the scene. "Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor in this accident," the report concludes.
The report was actually published by Global Associated News, a site notorious for creating false reports.
At the bottom of the report is a note explaining the nature of the site. It reads: "THIS STORY IS 100% FAKE! this is an entertainment website, and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes! this story was dynamically generated using a generic 'template' and is not factual. Any reference to specific individuals has been 100% fabricated by web site visitors who have created fake stories by entering a name into a blank 'non-specific' template for the purpose of entertainment."
Meanwhile, another site called Media Mass reported about the alleged demise of Jack Nicholson.
Media Mass reports that because of the circulating death hoax, an "R.I.P. Jack Nicholson" Facebook page was made. The page reportedly got a lot of likes and comments from fans who were alarmed of the shocking news.
