Tiger Woods' girlfriend, Olympic skier Lyndsey Vonn, is now demanding marriage from the famous golf prodigy despite her slow recovery from her knee injury. She has also skipped some training and competitions not only because of her recuperation but also because she wants to focus on supporting Woods at the Masters and in every competition he engages into.
According to American tabloid, The National Enquirer, Tiger Woods' girlfriend has decided that her relationship with the 38-year-old pro golf player has reached that "put up or shut up" moment.
"Lindsey told Tiger, 'If you won't marry me, there are plenty of good-looking guys out there who would,'" an insider said on the 29-year-old skier's request.
The said report came at a time when Lindsey Vonn revealed that her recovery from her knee injury is going at a slow pace.
Tiger Wood's girlfriend reportedly tore two ligaments in her right knee during a crash at the world championships back in February 2013. Then, in November, she re-injured her surgically repaired ACL in another crash. And as if that wasn't enough, while she was preparing for Sochi last December, she sprained her MCL racing downhill.
In January, Tiger Woods' girlfriend had her second ACL surgery, and just recently she revealed that her recuperation is going slowly.
Additionally, Vonn said that she is now hoping that he could train on snow by October and be racing in Lake Louise, Alberta in December.
"If I have to push the date back when I start, so be it," the Olympic skier said. "To ensure the next four years go smoothly, I have to give this meniscus some time to heal."
"To ensure the next four years go smoothly, I have to give this meniscus some time to heal. It's obviously a slow process, but I'm making progress every day, so that's good," she added.
Although Vonn has made up her mind in focusing on supporting her boyfriend Tiger Woods at the Masters next month, an unexpected news about her boyfriend has now changed everything.
According to The Globe and Mail, Tiger Woods is now skipping Masters because of his back injury. This is the first time Woods won't be making it at the Masters in his entire career.
"After attempting to get ready for the Masters, and failing to make the necessary progress, I decided in consultation with my doctors to have this procedure done, Woods said. "I'd like to express my disappointment to the Augusta National membership, staff, volunteers and patrons that I will not be at the Masters," Woods wrote on his website.
"It also looks like I'll be forced to miss several upcoming tournaments to focus on my rehabilitation and getting healthy," he added.
Given the fact that both athletes won't be competing any time soon, many claim that a wedding could possibly push through. However, ShowbizSpy reports that Tiger Woods is still not planning to get hitched soon after paying a whopping $110 million in his divorce from Swedish beauty Elin Nordegren.
"He's not interested in getting married again and having more kids. He told her he'd think it over, but secretly Tiger wants out. And if she keeps pushing hard for a commitment, she's playing right into his hands," a source told the site. "Marrying Tiger would be complete security for Lindsey. She's worth about $3 million, but Tiger is worth more than 100 times that."
