Health teacher, LaTangela Williams, 36 years of age, was sentenced by the court for 14 months in jail for pleading guilty to charges against her having sexual contact with a student, enticing a minor for immoral purposes, and solicitation of a child.
The health teacher, LaTangela Williams, was arrested at the school campus last April by the police. The officials made the arrest after classes hoping that it would be discreet for the students. The alleged teacher was jailed for 14 months for having sexual relationships with 2 students, and also received 3 years probation, losing her teaching certificate in the process.
The 36 year old teacher accused of having sex with 2 students from the Selma High School in Alabama, pleaded guilty on the claims. She was also accused of taking and keeping images of indecent images and sexual acts with the adolescent students.
One of the victims of the health teacher was a basketball player at the high school she was working on. She was reported to be satisfied and with the 14 month sentence and will be put into jail anytime next week after she has finished dealing with family matters, based on the reports made by the Dallas County District Attorney's Office.
The Selma High School officials expressed content and satisfaction for the sentence given to the health teacher, LaTangela Williams. They also stated that the school will not tolerate any behaviors from teachers, specially when it comes to sexual relations with a student. The school administrative officer felt that the health teacher deserve and was fortunate about the sentence she had.
Similar events of teachers and students having sexual acts were reported in other areas of the country. The United States educational system must secure and guard over the welfare of its youth from this types of ordeal. The health teacher, LaTangela Williams, will go to jail for her crimes, and will be removed in the school system to further eliminate these incidents from happening.
