ALDON SMITH AIRPORT ARREST: 49ERS LINEBACKER UNLUCKILY DETAINED DUE TO FAKE BOMB THREAT [VIDEO + REPORT]

Aldon Smith airport arrest is getting a lot of attention today after the famous 49ers linebacker got arrested Sunday at Los Angeles International Airport due to a false bomb threat charge.

The Aldon Smith airport arrest incident made headlines because the linebacker got very unlucky after he became very aggressive during a security screening, leading authorities to suspect that he may have had a bomb with him.

According to Yahoo! Sports, the Aldon Smith airport arrest began when the 24-year-old player got randomly selected for a secondary screening at Terminal 1. Aldon reportedly became very belligerent and uncooperative during the process, airport police Sgt. Karla Ortiz explained to the press.

Ortiz added that the Aldon Smith airport arrest happened because the 49ers payer told a TSA agent that he had a bomb, prior to walking to the gate.

It was not mentioned whether Aldon's tone was as though he was teasing the agent or not.

The agent then alarmed the authorities on stand-by and they quickly caught up with Smith. However, the 24-year-old became aggressive and uncooperative; thus, he was taken into custody.

Aldon Smith was then booked for investigation for making a false bomb threat.

According to FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller, anyone who makes a bomb threat at an airport is subject to federal charges. Nonetheless, no charges have been filed by the airport administration against Smith.

The 49ers linebacker's agent didn't respond to the press about the Aldon Smith airport arrest case.

Meanwhile, 49ers General Manager Trent Baalke released a statement through a team spokesman to the press.

"We are disappointed to learn of the incident today involving Aldon Smith," Baalke said in a statement. "As this is a pending legal matter and we are still gathering the pertinent facts, we will have no further comment."
