Miss America Nina Davuluri recently got a date proposition from an 18 year old, high school senior, Patrick Faves, at a question and answer portion she guested at Central York High School, Pa. The over confident student got three and a half days suspension after popping the question last Thursday.
Patrick Farves who is the senior student of the Pennsylvania school, has admitted that he was been planning the proposal for a prom date with the Miss America beauty for the whole week. He also was prepared to finally pop the question at the assembly at Thursday, to Nina Davuluri on her arrival at the school.
The current Miss America, Nina Davuluri, is the first Indian American winner of the pageant. She won the beauty contest last September 2013, making her the new Miss America 2014. Her performance number which was a Bollywood dance act became highly complimented. Nina Davuluri, the current beauty queen, was scheduled to attend the Pennsylvania school to hold a talk about the diversity and value of science, mathematics, engineering, and technology.
The prom date proposal happened during the question-and-answer portion from previously picked students of the school. Patrick Farves, the senior student said to the York Dispatch, that he already prepared a small flower to give to the beauty queen, he also told the reporters that he was really serious and set on asking the question.
After asking a prom date proposal and giving a flower to Nina Davuluri, the senior student, Partick Farves, got a lot of cheers from his fellow students. Although the act was not too welcomed by the school officials, The student, was suspended for three and a half days due to his interruption of the assembly. The school administration already stated that they have given a warning to the student before the incident happened.
The high school senior, Patrick Farves, never got an answer from the Miss America, Nina Davuluri. He said on a statement that he will consider a "no" for the answer, and feels it would be better for his ego to accept no direct answer.
