Nigella Lawson's drug confession may have caused her spot on 'The Taste' but this professional chef is not going to allow anything from stopping her to do a working tour in New Zealand this May.
According to TVNZ, Nigella Lawson has been granted the special permission to do a working tour in New Zealand amid her drug confession scandal.
It can be noted that the TV Cook caused a huge stir online early this month when she was barred from entering the United States after confession that she had been a cocaine user in the past.
Under US law, a person can actually be hindered or blocked from entering the country if he or she has admitted to using illicit drugs in the past.
During the fraud trial of her former employees, Nigella Lawson admitted that she had taken cocaine and smoked pot in the past.
Today however, things are looking brighter for the TV cook following the Immigration New Zealand's decision to grant her with a "special direction" to hold her promotional tour in the country.
The glamorous chef is now expected to visit New Zealand this May to promote Whittaker's chocolate.
On other news, it seems that Nigella will be missing out the third season of the culinary contest 'The Taste' now that she has no more means of entering the country.
Grazia magazine reports that the producers of the show are now looking for a replacement, and they are allegedly eyeing former 'Dawson's Creek' star Katie Holmes.
Holmes is rumored to be reinventing a career for herself by becoming a Martha Stewart-like culinary guru.
"It's very early days and it all depends on what happens with Nigella, but Katie is very excited and would jump at the job if it came available," a source told the mag. "A meeting is planned for when she is next in LA. Katie wants a new career, loves food and is in talks about writing a cookbook. And obviously she's great on camera."
