Mark Cuban's wife has always shared a part of her multi-billionaire hubby's limelight. For one thing, she is perhaps one of the greatest reasons why Mark Cuban prefers to live a simple life rather than living luxuriously.
Mark Cuban is the owner of the National Basketball Association's Dallas Mavericks, Landmark Theatres, and Magnolia Pictures. He is also the chairman of the HDTV cable network AXS TV. He is currently a "shark" investor on the television series 'Shark Tank.'
According to PlayerWives, Mark Cuban's wife is Tiffany Stewart. The two reportedly met at a gym and they have been dating for a short while prior to tying the knot in September 2002.
Mark Cuban and wife Tiffany Stewart have two children, Alexis Sofia and Alyssa. Despite being one of the most successful American businessman and investors, Cuban to live a simple life. His billionaire status is not even felt on his manner of raising his kids.
The Business Insider reports that Mark Cuban and his wife make sure that their kids will not become spoiled.
""I'm not the dad that comes home with a ton of presents. I am the dad that says, 'Pick that up. Take that; put it in the sink. No, you have to earn that.' I want them to recognize that the only thing special about themselves is what they make for themselves," Mark Cuban told the Business Insider.
"They have to be themselves. They can't be Mark Cuban's or Tiffany Cuban's son or daughter. They have to be adults and they have to carry their own weight. I literally battled with my wife (she always wins) about public schools versus private schools. I didn't want them to have a sense of entitlement," he added.
Maek Cuban also dished that he just want his kids to be themselves. ""I want them to be like themselves. My daughter is 10. She's just your basic drama queen. And that's a good thing. It's not about stuff. I just don't want it to ever be about stuff. If I treat them with respect hopefully they'll treat their peers with respect. That's what we pay attention to more than anything else, how they treat other people."
Another interesting fact about the married couple's life is that they don't have butlers, only a nanny to look after their kids while they are busy working.
"No butlers. We have a nanny. Unless it's the night of a Mavs game and Tiff and I are going to a game, then they're out by 6 or 7 and then it's real world. On the weekends we have someone in the morning so Tiff and I go workout Saturday mornings. Then the rest of the weekend it's just us," Cuban said. "It's us putting them to bed. It's us at dinner. We try to be as normal as possible. The whole idea of someone serving you, this and that, that's not us."
Interestingly, businessman Mark Cuban once talked to People, revealing that he prefers his home office with a basic desk and work chair instead of huge conference rooms with upscale furnishings. "That's not really my style," Cuban tells PEOPLE. "I want to be comfortable."
