Social media sex tape posted online showing Warriors centre Konrad Hurell having sex, urged the NRL to put the athlete under investigation over the sex video involving him with a New Zealand actress Teuila Blakely. The sex video which will be investigated by the NRL integrity unit is believed to be taken with the use of a phone camera, and was uploaded in Instagram that eventually circulated in the internet.
The sex tape shows Konrad Hurell driving his vehicle while the actress Teuila Blakely performs sexual intercourse on him. The person responsible for uploading the sex video is not yet known, but speculations were made that Hurell himself was accountable for spreading the sex tape online, and was also discovered that it was originally shared via the phone app Snapchat.
Teuila Blakely, a New Zealand actress and star of the TV show Shortland St., has already confirmed that she is the alleged woman in the sex video. The release of the sex tape came at the wrong moment for the NRL officials, who was about to establish the Women in League round.
The COO for the NRL, Jim Doyle also gave substantiation that Konrad Hurell is under investigation from the league, pointing out that the sex tape involving the athlete is a potential cause that will destroy the game's integrity. He also said "You get mothers who are deciding if their kids should play the game, you get a club who is potentially on the verge with some high-profile corporate who wants to get involve in the game, and something happens that puts them off."
The Warriors is also collecting information about the sex tape incident in order to issue a report to the NRL integrity unit. While Teuila Blakely also gave statements that the sex video was never intended to go out in public, saying to the NZ Herald "Yeah it was me, but it was a private video between me and Koni, and it wasn't meant to have been leaked."
Konrad Hurell and Teuila Blakely was known to be dating during the sex tape was released, although the actress stated that they only have a casual relationship saying "I am not in an exclusive relationship with Koni. We are good friends and are very close." The NZ actress also said that the sex tape was filmed two months prior to the news, and did not know who posted it via the social media.
