Michael Schumacher is dead at 45. At least that's what a viral report is claiming as of late. The Formula 1 legend, who is reportedly in a critical condition following a skiing accident in France, allegedly passed away late last week.
The report actually came from a series of tweets made by a user named Henry Wyatt, who wrote that the seven-time Formula 1 world champion has died, citing reports and photos from CNN and Metro.
"Rip Michael Schumacher. A legend of the sport," Henry Wyatt wrote on April 30.
"pic.twitter.com/WVpwpChWua" he added later on. "Enough proof, twats? @Mo_Zia @BartuAtamert @Lawrence_rosen pic.twitter.com/kpmnMRlGqj."
"@Mo_Zia @BartuAtamert pic.twitter.com/exCz5GT3jA," his last tweet read.
However, International Business Times said that by doing a detailed search, the reports cited by the Twitter user were nowhere to be found.
Additionally, leading news sites didn't even report about the passing of Michael Schumacher, making Wyatt's tweets questionable.
On the other hand, rumors that Schumacher has already awaken from coma and recognized his wife surfaced as well, but these were never confirmed by the Formula 1 champ's agent Sabine Kehm.
"Since doing the ARD talk show [two weeks ago]... I have not spoken to anyone about Michael Schumacher," Kehm told German tabloid Kolner Express.
"Those rumors from Spain are apparently not true. Kehm just texted me (saying) she hadn't confirmed anything to RTL," correspondent Nicola Pohl said.
Michael Schumacher is the latest victim of these viral death hoaxes. Other celebs, who became victims to these fake death rumors include: Reese Witherspoon, Bill Cosby, Denzel Washington, Adele, Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber, among others.
