Jack is Back! 24 live another day TV series starts with a blast

Fox is bringing back a well beloved show and character with the final installment of 24. Kiefer Sutherland is back reprising his role of Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) agent Jack Bauer, the role which he is most lauded for that earned him an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Satellite Awards.

The show, a limited event television series, was launched on May 5, 2014. 24: Live Another Day or otherwise known as the ninth season, is set four years after the events of the last season, the same amount of time since we last saw Jack Bauer on our TV sets. With new changes evident from the first episode alone; being set for the first time in London, bringing new bad guys this season promises to be as good or if not to surpass the success of the previous seasons. This one will be loaded up with plenty of twists, suspense, mind-numbing action, blowing up things obviously to satisfy the avid fan's expectations-Sutherland who is now an executive producer of the series had said that, "the ideas from Howard Gordon are exciting and fresh, and will not disappoint." and he also after thanking Fox for the opportunity was quoted saying that, "Make no mistake, my goal is to knock your socks off. See you soon."

The fans can look forward to the bringing back of all the major cast, the old characters especially his trusty colleague, then systems analyst, Chloe O'Brian who has a very essential role in this season's plot. She's now a wanted criminal who's part of an anti-government hacking organization.

Bauer turns up-coming out of hiding- in London in order to prevent an assassination attempt against visiting President James Heller. Because of this he is discovered by the CIA and later recruited into joining their investigation, whilst promising amnesty in return for his services. While Bauer's enemies in the White house conspire against him, the ones behind the assassination attempt are able to access the controls of U.S. military drones and in turn threatens the use of the weapons against their owners in a symbolic retaliation. Bauer starts to look into a possibility of there being something more to these attacks-he enlists the help of Chloe and her new friends while, agents of the local CIA station are following their every move closely.

Based on preliminary Nielsen rating the opening two-hour special of 24: Live Another Day d brought in a respectable 8.1 million American viewers.
