Rockstar Games is still mum on whether or not they are planning to release Grand Theft Auto V for next-generation consoles and PC, but gamers are still keeping their fingers crossed.
Recent rumors indicated that the Rockstar Games is planning to release GTA 5 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in early 2015, specifically March 2015.
The rumors about the release of GTA 5 for PS4 and Xbox One started when Take-Two Interactive, which is the parent company of Rockstar Games, announced that they are working on a new game for the next-gen consoles.
Take-Two Interactive did not give further details about the next-gen game that they are currently developing, creating different speculations among gamers.
Some gamers believe that Take-Two Interactive was talking about "Agent", a game that was previously announced as an exclusive game for PS3, but was never released.
As of now, there are still no signs of Agent, which is quite surprising because there would have been screenshots or gameplay footages if the company is really working on the game.
Some experts are also saying that Rockstar Games might have shifted the development of Agent to PS4, but it is highly unlikely, considering the fact that the company has been revealing new games a year before its planned release date.
Other gamers speculated that Take-Two was referring to Red Dead Redemption or Bully 2, but there are also doubts about it because there are no signs of existence for both games.
With other games out of the picture at this point, Gaming Blend concluded that Take-Two Interactive was talking about the PS4 and Xbox One editions of Grand Theft Auto V.
"It seems much more likely that this mystery project is the PS4 and Xbox One release of GTA 5. Before the game debuted on Xbox 360 and PS3, Rockstar VP Dan Houser said that they would consider other platforms for the game. Furthermore, there have been subtle clues that Rockstar is making ports," Gaming Blend noted.
Recent reports also indicated that PC gamers will soon be able to play GTA 5 on their personal computers - probably several months before the PS4 and Xbox One editions hit the market.
