Jay Z and Rachel Roy Are 'Too Close for Comfort': Reports

Jay Z and Rachel Roy may have been sharing a distinct but suspicious relationship, which has, in effect, irritated Solange Knowles' last nerve and led to the infamous elevator altercation between Beyoncé's sister and her hubby, Independent has learned.

There have been a number of speculations on the primary reason why Solange Knowles snapped in an elevator ride at the Standard Hotel, but one that currently stands out from the rest is the rumor that Jay Z and Rachel Roy may have been sharing a far-from-friendship relationship, something that has sickened Beyoncé's sister to the bare bone.

Since the leaked security camera footage of Solange Knowles attacking Jay Z inside the elevator does not have sound, many are left wondering what could have been the real story behind the scandalous altercation that took place during a Met Gala after-party.

Latest updates claim that US fashion designer Rachel Roy could have been the one that implicated the argument between Solange and Jay Z.

Early this week, several media reports revealed that prior to the elevator escandalo, Solange was spotted in heated verbal exchange with Rachel Roy, who is apparently the ex-wife of Jay Z's Roc-a-Fella Records co-founder Damon Dash.

Roy was allegedly getting "too close for comfort" with Jay Z, and this was the thing that really angered Solange to her boiling point, the New York Daily Newx reported.

"Solange doesn't like it and Beyoncé doesn't like it," an insider told the paper.

The insider claimed that Solange Knowles become enraged when her sister's rapper husband told her that she was "out of line" when she confronted Rahcel at the party.

Additionally, Solange lost her temper when Jay Z said that he was planning to go on to Rihanna's second after-party, where Roy was also reportedly heading to. And without thinking it much through, Solange physically attacked Beyoncé's husband in front of his wife. A body guard, who was also at the elevator at the time of the altercation, was seen attempting to contain the situation by pushing the emergency button, as seen in the leaked security camera footage.

Meanwhile, it was reported earlier that the person who sold the footage to TMZ for $250,000 was fired, and he was reportedly sacked for "breaching the security polices of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video."

When the footage of the scandalous altercation surfaced, the trio of celebs involved in the video were quick to deny "Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout the evening."

"At the end of the day, families have problems and we're no different," the trio's issued statement to the Associated Press read. "We love each other and above all we are family. We've put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same."

Days after the scandal broke, Beyoncé and her husband Jay Z, were spotted together at the Nets basketball game in Brooklyn. Their appearance also got a lot of attention after media outlets noticed that their tattooed wedding rings were barely visible than before.

Meanwhile, Rachel Roy's ex-hubby, who had a falling out with Jay Z a few years back, didn't remain mum on the issue. He even took to Instagram to comment on Solange Knowles. "I am actually impressed with her independent spirit. She seems like a fighter," Dash said.
