Last night, we witnessed the intense fight among the four remaining dancing stars and their partners, namely: Amy Purdy and Derek Hough, Meryl Davis and Maks Chmerkovskiy, Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas, and James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd. The top four performed two dances, one for the Judges' Pick round and the other for the Freestyle round. In the end, it was the last thorn among the roses that was sent home.
With the remaining three dancing stars, who is most likey to bring homethe bacon this season? Could it be "Full House" alum Candace Cameron Bure, who delighted most of us with her gold jumpsuit and funky freestyle despite her partner Mark Ballas' serious shoulder injury? Or, could it be the inspiring Amy Purdy, who has consistently been geeting high scores because of Derek Hough's ingenious choreography that makes the paralympic snowboarder shine? Or - quite possibly - could it be Olympic gold medalist Meryl Davis, who has been getting consistent perfect scores and rave reviews for her incredible dancing and chemistry with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy? Joining our remaining dancing stars tonight are all of the former contenders for the trophy this season. Of course, there's James Maslow, who just got eliminated a day before the big event. For the finale performances, the three remaining dance partners are tasked to perform a 24-hour instant "fusion" dance, which is to combine two dance styles in a quickly created routine. The challenge hereof course is how they can fuse two dance styles with the limited time they have. Fortunately though, tonight's scores aren't really going to make that big difference.
Since the Dancing with the Stars season 18 finale part 1 ended, fans were asked to vote for their favorite finale performance via Twitter hashtags. Whoever gets chosen by fans will perform an encore of their freestyle routine. Interestingly, the "Team Loca" performance, which was not carried out due to Amy Purdy's back injury, will be showcased live in tonight's finale.
