Meryl Davis and Maks Chmerkovskiy have proven that with their magical chemistry on the dance floor they can conquer anything... including the much coveted DWTS Mirrorball Trophy this season. Their chemistry is just so undeniable that many - from judges, fans and media outlets - began speculating that the two could be boyfriend-girlfriend secretly. But are they?
The 'Dancing With The Stars' season 18 concluded with a bang for 27-year-old ice dancing pro Meryl Davis and 34-year-old Ukrainian dancing pro Maksim Chmerkosvkiy. For their many fans and supporters, it's absolutely a dream come true that both ended triumphantly after displaying nothing short of consistent quality performances since day 1. Along with their tandem's rise to fame are the many questions on their possibly brewing romantic relationship.
During the DWTS 2014 finale, Maks was even the one to say that he wants to have babies with Davis. "I want to ravage her and have ice-skating, big, Russian, mean babies. We're going to call them Boris and Oleg. Their nicknames are going to be Bear. Both. One nickname for both." Technically, he made it sound like a joke, but then again, jokes are usually half-meant if not fully. The Ukrainian muscleman even quipped that the perfect day for him to propose to Davis was "probably tomorrow."
Interview after interview since they started their DWTS season 18 journey, Davis and Chmerkovskiy have been asked if they are indeed dating, but the two always managed to dodge the romantic aspect of the questions and end up giving sweet compliments and suggestive remarks on their relationship.
"Meryl brings out the best in me, and I'm glad people see that," Maks once said in an interview with Glamour on the special partnership that Meryl has offered him. On the other hand, Davis hinted in her most recent interview with OK! mag after their win that she wants to keep her relationship with Maks even after the show has concluded. "When the cameras stop rolling, I think that's why a lot of the relationships you form on the show keep going long after the season's over," Davis said when she was asked if fans can still see them together even after this DWTS season.
Although the makings of a perfect romance is obvious between Davis and Chmerkovskiy, several sources pointed out that what they have is simply a platonic chemistry like what Meryl Davis shared with ice dancing partner for nearly 20 years Charlie White, who was also believed to be dating the 27-year-old throughout the course of their ice dancing career. Nevertheless, the dating rumors only simmered down when White finally revealed that he has been dating another skating athlete, the beautiful Tanith Belbin.
Interestingly, Meryl Davis reportedly didn't have to look too far in search for love. Insiders said she found it in Russian skater/actor/model Fedor Andreev, who is apparently the son of former figure skater turned coach Marina Zueva. It isn't clear yet as to when Davis and Andreev started dating or how long they have been boyfriend-girlfriend, but the two have reportedly been very faithful to one another.
SportCelebrityWag reported that prior to dating Meryl Davis, Fedor was romantically linked to Tanith Belbin in 2003. Back then of course Belbin was not dating White. It was only when Belbin and Andreev ended their romance a few months later that White started to show his intentions. The timing was also perfect for Andreev to finally get it on with Davis, who has always been single.

According to FabWags, Fedor Andreev bagged the 1999 Canadian junior national champion title in Ottawa's Minto Skating Club before he and his mom moved to Michigan, where he then trained under Richard Callahan. Just three years later, in 2002, Andreev won the Nebelhorn Trophy and even snagged the bronze medal at the Canadian Championships. However, in the years to come, the Canadian hottie suffered from a series of serious injuries, which kept him from competing.
In 2008, Meryl Davis' rumored boyfriend placed 8th at the Canadian Championship. Two years later, he trained with Jana Khokhlova and made their duo debut in December 2010 at the Golden Spin of Zagreb. When Andreev suffered from another serious injury prior to placing 5th at the Russian Nationals in 2011, he decided to retire from ice dancing in September that year.
Following his shortened ice dancing career, Meryl Davis' rumored boyfriend decided to make a shift in his career by focusing on modelling instead. However, it was not the first time that the Canadian skating hunk modelled for he has graced the Abercrombie & Fitch campaign way back in 2000. Sources said he even had that on-again, off-again relationship with his modelling career while he was still an athlete. He reportedly signed with IMG Men's division after his Abercrombie & Fitch stint and in 2006, he signed with Vision NYC.
After his ice dancing days ended, Andreev focused on juggling his modelling, racing and photography career while attending the University of Michigan in Ann Harbor, where he reportedly pursued his Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Fedor Andrev is the co-founder of CheapWatchReview.com, according to SportsCelebrityWag.
