British star Emma Watson, 24, best known for playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter Series, is now a Brown University alumnus.
On Sunday, May 25, 2014, the British actress joined 2,000 new graduates as they received their college degrees from the Ivy League School. Watson later confirmed her graduation by tweeting a photo of herself in full graduation garb.
Watson, 24, entered Brown University to pursue a Bachelor's degree in English Literature in 2009. She left Brown, momentarily in 2011, to focus on her film career and returned sometime in 2013 to finish her degree.
While attending Brown, and later Worcester College in Oxford as a visiting student, Emma Watson starred in the remaining installments of the Harry Potter series, the Deathly Hallows parts one and two, book-turned-movie "The Perks of Being a Wallflower", The Bling Ring, and most recently, Noah. Back in 2009, at the tender age of 19, she was awarded the title of the "Highest-Grossing Actress of the Decade" by the Guinness Book of World Records.
The British star is currently filming an American-Spanish thriller titled "Regression" which is directed by Alejandro Amenábar. Emma Watson joins Ethan Hawke in the lead role and David Dencik. The film is slated for release on August 28, 2015.
