Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas is interested in returning to the English Premier League next season, and reports indicated that Chelsea is his most likely destination.

Fabregas previously expressed interest in returning to Arsenal next season, but the Gunners are not keen on re-acquiring the veteran midfielder as they are setting their sights on bigger targets.

With Arsenal out of the picture, Chelsea is now considered as the favorite to sign Fabregas, Mirror UK reported.

According to sources, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is very interested in acquiring Atletico midfielder Koke, but the Blues are facing stiff competition, prompting the Blues boss to shift his attention to Fabregas.

"Cesc Fabregas could put his love affair with Arsenal on the line after Chelsea entered the race to sign him," Mirror UK reported. "Blues boss Jose Mourinho has made Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke his No.1 target - but faces major competition from Barcelona for his signature. That has prompted a move for Fabregas and the Stamford Bridge club now lead the chase."

Aside from Chelsea, Manchester United are also interested in Fabregas, while sources suggested that the Gunners are still planning to lure him back if they fail to acquire their top targets.

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla gave a piece of advice to the Spain international, telling Fabregas to turn down the offers from Chelsea and Manchester United, and push for a return to the Gunners next season.

"I have read that Cesc could go to Chelsea but I prefer that he comes to Arsenal," Cazorla said. "He has given a lot to the club and he knows it well."

Meanwhile, Manchester United is also targeting Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

According to the Herald Sun, new Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal is ready to offer $120 million to the Uruguay international to form a deadly combination with Red Devils striker Robin Van Persie.

However, the Red Devils are facing a tough competition as previous reports also indicated that Real Madrid are preparing a lucrative offer for Suarez.

"United would have to fight off a hostile Liverpool and, on another front, an expected bid by from Real Madrid, who have been apparently getting their cash together for a Suarez splurge," the Herald Sun reported. "And then Suarez would want to change from a Champions League club to one that isn't, having wanted away to Arsenal because they were. If you get our drift."
