Hugh Jackman's wife has always had her fair share of spotlight since she is also a big contributor in the showbiz industry as an Aussie actress, director and producer. And now that her hubby is once again taking center stage at the Tony Awards tonight, for sure everyone is intrigued by the lucky lady, who managed to snatch the heart and loyalty of hunk-tacular Hollywood actor, Hugh Jackman. So who is Hugh Jackman's wife, really?

Versatile Hollywood actor and Broadway performer Hugh Jackman's wife is Deborra-Lee Furness, who is 13 years his senior. The 45-year-old 'Wolverine' actor is married to 58-year-old Furness, and the two have always been loyal to one another since they exchanged vows 17 years ago.

According to Daily Mail, Tony Awards host Hugh Jackman met his wife on the set of 'Correlli,' a TV show back in 1995. Though he initially made a pact to himself that he won't marry Deborra-Lee Furness within the first six months after they began dating, he eventually decided that the time limit was ridiculous and decided to pop the question just four months after they have officially started dating. To make it even more special, Hugh Jackman reportedly designed the engagement ring personally.

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have been married for 17 years now, and although they have always been very happy about it, their married life isn't free from pains. The couple suffered extreme sadness when Furness had two miscarriages. However, this didn't stop them from wanting to be parents; hence, they later on adopted two kids, Oscar and Ava.

In one of his interviews, Hugh Jackman said that it was absolutely "love at first sight" for him. Thus, he didn't hesitate for a second the day he got down on bended knee and asked for Furness' hand in marriage.

Interestingly, since Hugh Jackman's roles have always been pretty challenging such that the actor has had major transformations from one film to another, Furness once dished to Town & Country magazine that their sex life made her feel like she was having affairs.

"I like him all ways: chubby, muscly, skinny. It's like I'm always having affairs," the blonde beauty said, adding, "I like him best clean shaven."

Through the years, Jackman and Furness have shared a very open yet intimate and loyal kind of relationship, and they have always been very vocal about each other. In his recent battles against skin cancer - one in November and one in May - Deborra or "Deb," as what Hugh Jackman wants to put it, was the one who urged the actor to have a check-up befre the condition even worsened, and it seemed she is his lucky charm because he has managed to survive from both cancers through early detection.

Meanwhile, Hugh Jackman, who once was a gas station attendant and a birthday party clown, is hosting to the Tony Awards this year, his fifth time as a matter of fact. The awards ceremony wil be at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

While this may be Hugh Jackman's fifth, it is still undeniable that the Hollywood celeb has qualms on himself. After all, it's really a difficult challenge to follow Neil Patrick Harris' performance last year when he hosted the event.

"It's sort of career suicide to follow him," Hugh Jackman said of his thoughts on having to follow Neil's hosting last year. However, he revealed to the media that he actually asked for Harris' blessing before he accepted the hosting gig. "I'm not going to try to match Neil - that's crazy talk. I do hope I have a few tricks up my sleeve."
