Good Morning America's Ginger Zee is a bachelorette no more after tying the knot with NBC News correspondent Ben Aaron in a "charming, intimate" and nothing short of joyful wedding ceremony in Michigan Saturday, June 7, People has learned.
It seems Ginger Zee, 33, is going to be very busy from now on, especially now that aside from her 'Good Morning America' duties, she will do full-time work as the loving wife of NBC News correspondent Ben Aaron, 32.
"Ben is my partner for life," GMA's Ginger Zee told People. "I knew it as soon as I met him. I've never been more ready for anything in my life."
To make their marital ceremony memorable and extra-special, Zee and Aaron reportedly enlisted the professional assistance of Ginger's best friend and well-known wedding planner, Francesco Bilotto. And, of course, Zee has intended for the wedding ceremony to be in her hometown, which is very close to her heart.
"I am so proud to be from Michigan and I have countless memories of growing up along this gorgeous lake. I wanted to have one of the most important moments of my life here and make another one of those memories," she said of the venue of her special day with Aaron.
Style guru Bilotto was also very pleased with Ginger's request to have it in Michigan. "When you think of Pure Michigan, it's really pure of heart," Bilott said of Good Morning America meteorologist's hometown.
The "charming, intimate" and private event gathered 55 guests, who were provided with pashminas in case they feel cold whilst watching the beachside exchange of "I do's" between Zee and Aaron.
Some of the confirmed guests of Ginger Zee and Ben Aaron's wedding include: Jennifer Haf, owner of Bloom Floral Design' Jessica Matteson-Stubbs, owner of Simply Sweet by Jessica, and Sheila Dodson-Wright, owner of Tableau Events and Custom Papery & Decor, among others.
"It's almost like it's a wedding mafia, these women," Bilotto said of the women guests of Zee's special day. "They are incredible."
One of the things that struck the gathered crowd was Bilotto's own take on unity candles. Instead of having them, he came up with a wooden heart puzzle with the initials of Ginger Zee and Ben Aaron's parents.
According to People, after the beachside nuptials, the guests were requested to get inside The Inn at Bay Harbor, where they enjoyed a feastive dinner.
"Bringing our crazy families from all over the States to enjoy some peace and quiet in northern Michigan will be the greatest day of our lives," Zee said of their very special wedding guests.
At the end of the ceremony, guests expressed their joy over the couple's union. Additionally, some told reporters how they felt about the weeding.
"Absolutely the best wedding I've ever been to in my life," Zee's cousin, Lesleigh Kent from San Diego, said. "I've never had so many valuable exchanges with people. You instantly feel like family."
"I don't think Los Angeles beaches would have the same effect," Melanie Kain, the date of Ben Aaron's best man, Ian Goldberg, said. "The lakes and the vistas are gorgeous.
"There's just a genuine quality to the people here," Aaron's best man quipped. "I've been here for three days and never been here before. It just seems that people are enjoying their lives. There's a real joy here."
