‘Frozen’ Fever Is Back! After Disney Announces Short Film’s Release in 2015

After having named as the highest-rated family movie in 2013, the "Frozen" fever is back! Walt Disney Studious recently announced that a short film will be released in 2015.

Walt Disney Studios has been probed by fans and followers after the highly-acclaimed success of the movie "Frozen" last year. In late April, Walt Disney chairman Alan F. Horn said that the talks on having a movie sequel were not yet discussed because the studio's current priority is the planned Broadway musical. A month later, Walt Disney Studios was asked again and responded that they will not mandate a sequel or force storytelling because it would risk creating something not as good as the first film.

During the ABC airing of "The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic" on September 2, 2014,   Lasseter announced a "Frozen" short film with a new song will be released in the future. The special also featured the world television premiere of a scene from Big Hero 6, the new action comedy adventure from Walt Disney Animation Studios. A sneak peak at the upcoming season of ABC's Once Upon A time series was also shown where the Frozen characters will make an appearance this season.

Variety announced on the same day that the short film will be released in spring 2015 under the title "Frozen Fever" with Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck as returning directors. The Frozen's upcoming short film will be produced by Peter Del Vecho and with all new original song by Robert Lopez and wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

Frozen's short film plot depicts the celebration of Anna's birthday with Kristoff and Elsa, but Elsa's power may put more than just the party at risk. The snowman, Olaf, also will make a come-back appearance. It marks the first project reuniting the original team of the Oscar-winning movie, Disney's Frozen.

Disney's Frozen is already the highest-grossing animated movie of all time and was tagged as the best Disney animated feature film and musical since the studio's renaissance era.

The Frozen sensation continues to unfold as the news updates on Frozen's short film made a lot of fans happy and ecstatic globally, the film's world continues to expand with both on the silver screen then television and a book series also in development. Definitely, the "Frozen" fever is back!
