Kobe Bryant had another spectacular night for the Los Angeles Lakers as he led his team to a 98-91 win against the Utah Jazz on Sunday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Bryant erupted for 26 points to go along with five assists and four rebounds, helping the Lakers bounce back from their humbling 33-point loss against the Jazz on Thursday.
The Jazz were in control in the first half and looked poise to ran away with another blowout win against the Lakers after building a 54-38 lead at the half.
However, the Lakers found their rhythm after the break and had a 23-3 rally to take 61-57 lead with under six minutes left to play in the third period.
The two teams went toe-to-toe in the final period before Bryant and co. sealed the victory, which was their second win in five preseason games.
Carlos Boozer also had an impressive night for the Lakers as he finished with 19 points and nine rebounds to go along with six steals, while Ronnie Price had six points, 10 assists and four steals for the Lakers, who played without point guards Jeremy Lin and Steve Nash.
Lin missed his third straight preseason game for the Lakers after suffering a sprained ankle, while Nash was sidelined after hurting his back again.
Alec Burks, on the other hand, led the Jazz with 21 points and six rebounds, while Enes Kanter racked up 14 points and seven rebounds in the game.
The Jazz, who are now 4-2 this preseason after losing in their last two games, will look to bounce back on Tuesday when they go up against the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
The Lakers, on the other hand, will look to sustain their momentum when they face the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday at the Honda Center.
