Man's dog helps police bust him - A man who was attempting to run away from police officers in Central Alabama on Wednesday has been arrested with the help of his own pet dog.
Prattville police have revealed that Edwin Henderson, a suspected meth manufacturer, was about to be served a drug warrant by two police officers at his residence at 1622 County Road 85 residence when he took off.
According to Paula Barlow, the police spokeswoman, as soon as Henderson saw the officers he escaped on foot, jumping into a 25-foot ravine situated next to his house.
Here's how the man's dog helps police bust him. Reports indicate that Henderson's dog, named Bo, was standing around when the incident occurred. Bo was immediately commanded by an officer to "go get him."
The Pit Bull and Huskie mix breed reportedly chased after Henderson with great intensity. According to AP, the pair were "followed by two Prattville Drug Enforcement Unit investigators."
After running for a while, Bo stopped and was seen enthusiastically wagging its tail in front of a tall grass. Henderson was then apprehended after officials caught him hiding.
Henderson has been taken into custody and he is likely to face several charges including "failure to obey police, possession of drug paraphernalia and manufacturing a controlled substances."
After the man's dog help police bust him, detectives reportedly found a meth lab and other components of the banned substance in Henderson's home.
The 'man's dog helps police bust him' story has since gone viral online. According to reports, it's unclear if Henderson has a relative who will care of the Bo while he is police custody.
