Jamie Dornan Frontal: Will There Be Full-Frontal Nude Scenes For The Irish Actor In ’50 Shades Of Grey’?

Jamie Dornan recently admitted that there will be no full-frontal nude scenes for him in the movie adaptation of E. L. James' bestselling book trilogy, "50 Shades of Grey." In an interview, the 32-year-old hunky Irish actor shared the level of nudity he went for the upcoming S&M-inspired film.
In an interview with The Guardian's The Observer last weekend, Jamie Dornan revealed there will be no-frontal nude shots of his billionaire character, Christian Grey.
"There were contracts in place that said that viewers wouldn't be seeing my... um... yeah, my todger [a British vernacular word for male body parts]," Jamie Dornan stated. "You want to appeal to as wide an audience as possible without grossing them out. You don't want to make something gratuitous, and ugly, and graphic."
Jamie Dornan will be featured in the movie adaptation of "50 Shades of Grey" alongside 25-year-old Dakota Johnson; they will play the characters of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele respectively. According to Us Weekly, the two actors took the risky, talked-about roles in the big-screen version of James' sexually explicit bestseller.
Even though there will be no full-frontal for Jamie Dornan in the film, the Daily Mail reported that the hunk actor explained "50 Shades" director Sam Taylor-Johnson's approach to the profuse sex scenes and nudity.
"Sam is a very bright woman, so there might be some suggestive elements to it, but I haven't seen it at this stage, so it is hard for me to say," the Irish actor said. "I'm aware of what we shot, and it wasn't as if we shot a film without action."
While Jamie Dornan is used to flaunting his outstanding ripped figure as being a former model having fronted campaigns for Calvin Klein underwear among others, he stressed that there will be no full-frontal for him on the erotic film, which will be released on Valentine's Day next year.
As said by Jamie Dornan, there is a fine line between showing skin for artistic purposes as opposed to just for unwarranted gawking. And if that disappoints fans, Dornan said...
"I am never going to please all 100 million people who read the book," Jamie Dornan stated. "I'll be lucky if half that number are happy with me playing Christian Grey. I know there are campaigns of hate against me already."
The actor also emphasized that the movie adaptation is "not the book."
"Sam Taylor-Johnson is an artist as well as an award-winning film director. Look at her track record. And look at the film studious behind it. Universal. Focus. All I can say is, wait until you see it before passing judgment."
Meanwhile, Jamie Dornan is happily married to 32-year-old British singer-songwriter Amelia Warner for 18 months. In late November last year, the couple welcomed their first child.
With that in mind and as turned on the audience might get, Jamie Dornan said he found the sex scenes, with full-frontal or not, definitely unsexy.
"Anyone who thinks actors get turned on doing sex scenes in films is mistaken," the actor said. "There are dozens of hairy men standing around, moving cables and lighting equipment. That's not sexy - unless you're into being watched, which I'm not."
Jamie Dornan also shared that his wife, who was previously an actress, understands his latest movie project.
"She understands that it is work," the actor said. "I don't think we will be watching it together too many times at home, though."
Although there will be no full-frontal for Jamie Dornan on the film, "50 Shades of Grey" will surely be a highly-anticipated movie next year.
