Amanda Bynes has recently grabbed intense public scrutiny with her latest controversial issues. Those issues range from reins of conservatorship, to social media rants and sleeping in a shopping mall. The troubled actress has been in a fight with her parents over her needs and finances. But how much is Amanda Bynes' net worth?

Amanda Bynes is an American actress and fashion designer. According to The Richest, she has an estimated net worth of $4 million. She rose to fame in the late '90s and early 2000s on the Nickelodeon series "All That" and "The Amanda Show."

Amanda Bynes' film career took off with a role in the 2005 romantic comedy flick, "Love Wrecked." In 2006, she was named one of Teen People's "25 Hottest Stars Under 25." Her next notable role was in the musical, "Hairspray," where she played the role of Penny Pingleton. The film was a critical and commercial success and became her most successful film at the time. As per Celebrity Net Worth, Amanda Bynes has an estimated fortune of $5.7 million.

Aside from her acting career, Amanda Bynes teamed up with Steve & Barry's to create her own fashion line called "Dear," which consisted of apparel and accessories. However, the brand was cut short when the company filed for bankruptcy in 2008 and eventually went out of business in 2009.

At the peak of Amanda Bynes' career, the 28-year-old actress earned between $2 and $3 million per year, however, Celebrity Net Worth reported that figure has diminished significantly over time. In 2010, Amanda Bynes become one of the highly-controversial stars in Hollywood. That June, she announced on social media site, Twitter, her plans on retiring from acting.

"Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem," she wrote. "If I don't love something anymore, I stop doing it. I don't love acting anymore, so I've stopped doing it."

But a month later, Amanda Bynes had apparently changed her mind and "unretired." The actress told People Magazine that she was taking a time off.

"I really just needed some time off," she said about retiring. "I've been acting since I was seven, and I'm 25 now. So, it's not retiring so much. It's just taking some time off."

In 2012. Amanda Bynes' legal saga started. In March, she was ticketed for talking on a cellphone while driving. A month later, she was arrested and charged with DUI after side-swiping a police car in West Hollywood. By September, Bynes was charged for two alleged hit and run incidents, one occurring in April and the other in August.

On May 2013, Bynes was arrested at her home in Manhattan for criminal possession of marijuana, attempted tampering with evidence, and reckless endangerment. That July, Ventura County sheriff's deputies detained her in front of a stranger's house in Thousand Oaks, California, where she had allegedly started a small fire in the driveway, and had her hospitalized under a 72-hour 5150 mental health evaluation hold.

Shortly after Amanda Bynes' hospitalization started, her parents filed for conservatorship of their daughter. Shockingly, her parents claim that she has blown through $1.2 million of her savings in less than a year making a remarkable dent on her net worth. In December 2013, she was released from treatment to her parents. She also agreed to seek counseling for the New York marijuana incident.

In September 2014, Amanda Bynes was arrested for her second DUI. By October, the troubled actress was hospitalized in Pasadena, California and placed on a temporary psyche hold following her Twitter accusations that her father abused her as a child.

On Oct. 13, the 72-hour psychiatric hold was extended to 14 days and later extended again for 30 more days. By Oct. 22, Amanda Bynes' mother received conservatorship of her daughter once again. But the actress went to social media again to rant about her parents taking control of her net worth funds.

With Amanda Bynes' latest claims on not having enough funds, her parents could lose full legal conservatorship, The Daily Mail reported. But according to TMZ, her parents are the ones surrendering their conservatorship over her.

After wandering around homeless, with no place of her own to live, Amanda Bynes crashed on a sofa in the middle of The Beverly Center in Los Angeles. While The Richest lists her net worth as $4 million, Celebrity Net Worth lists $5.7 million.
