The Season 19 of the dance competition television show "Dancing with the Stars" 2014 is coming to an end. But who made it to the final four to compete for the mirrorball trophy? Let's take a peek on the much-talked about semi-finals.
During the semi-finals of "Dancing with the Stars" 2014, the top five couples took the stage for the "Plugged and Unplugged" theme, where contestants performed two different dance styles to two altered versions of the same song.
At the semis, it was feared that Alfonso Ribeiro would not be able to dance due to a serious back injury. However, along with his partner, Witney Carson, the couple couldn't stay away. E! News reported the injury showed during the couple's first dance, but their contemporary dance to the tune of Christina Grimmie's unplugged version of "Love Runs Out," was almost flawless, receiving a score of 39 out of 40.
The "Dancing with the Stars" 2014 also showcased the remarkable performances of couples, Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy and Bethany Mota with Derek Hough, who earned all 10s for a pair of flawless dance routines.
Sadly, 76-year-old comedian, Tommy Chong was voted off during "Dancing with the Stars" 2014 semis on Monday night. According to ABC News, Chong is the oldest competitor to have defied the odds for weeks that have made it so far in the 19 seasons of the show. Throughout the season, the comedian's performances scored near or at the bottom of the scoreboard.
Though it was Tommy Chong's time to go after being voted off, his undeniable charm will definitely missed.
"I just showed old stoners can perform when they need to," Tommy Chong said just before the end of the show.
The couples who made it to the top four this season were Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson, Bethany Mota and Derek Hough, Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas, and Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy, as per The Wall Street Journal's report.
After one last performance episode on Monday, "Dancing with the Stars" 2014 Season 19 will come to an end with a live season finale next week. So, who will take home this year's mirrorball trophy?
