“The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” Star Studded World Premiere

The long awaited world premiere of the final installment of "The Hobbit" franchise has finally arrived, Mirror UK reported.
The movie premiere was live streamed at 160 countries and was held at Odeon cinema in Leicester Square, London.
Benedict Cumberbatch who played as Smaug was present and was greeted by screaming fans. While Evangeline Lily who reprised her role as elf Tauriel took selfies with her supporters.
To the amazement of the attendees, Sir Ian McKellen as Gandalf and Orlando Bloom as Legolas in the film shared a kiss in the green carpet. Martin Freeman who portrayed as the lead role Bilbo Baggins also interacted with the excited followers.
Finally, the star of the night director Peter Jackson appeared with his daughter Katie. Jackson dedicated the movie to the devoted followers.
"We hope you enjoy this film. We make it for you, for the fans and the people who enjoy these movies so I hope you like this one," the director said, according to BBC.
Freeman agreed with Jackson and complimented the trilogy's strong fan base. "The reason I'm not sad is because we are handing it over to the audience and sharing it with you. You're the best fans in the world - you're loyal and mad - so thank you so much." Freeman added.
Fans of the trilogy even camped out outside the location for five days to witness the event. Some of them arrived in costume that resembled the movie characters. The cast agreed that the premier is a celebration for the loyal followers of the series.
Meanwhile, the final installment of the trilogy focuses on the epic battle between middle earth creatures. Bilbo Baggins lead the fight to defend Lonely Mountain, Daily Mail reported.
"The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" will hit theatres on Dec. 12 in UK and Dec. 17 in the U.S.
