Greg Plitt NEWS: Notorious Fitness Instructor Dies At 37 After Fatal Train Accident

Greg Plitt News - Renowned fitness instructor and actor, Greg Plitt, is another star who has gone too soon. Plitt died Saturday after he was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Burbank, California. The incident occurred at around 4 p.m. and is currently under investigation.
Greg Plitt was an American fitness model and actor who starred in the Bravo television series, "Work Out." He was a certified personal trainer and the author of MFT28 workout program featured by Bodybuilding.com. Plitt modelled for Under Armour, Old Navy Jeans and Calvin Klein. He was also a global spokesperson and model for Thierry Mugler men's fragrances. However, on Jan. 17, several news outlets reported Greg Plitt died in an accident.
As reported by various news sites, Greg Plitt, who was recently featured in a new reality series "Friend to Lovers" that premiered Jan. 12, died at the age of 37 when he was struck and killed by a train. It was believed that Plitt and his team was shooting a video at the time of the accident. One passenger also reported that the renowned fitness expert had a camcorder in his hands when he stumbled over the tracks, TMZ cited.
"He had on all black. The train went by," a Metrolink passenger told the local TV station, The Independent reported. "I saw him stumble over the tracks. He had a camcorder in his hand."
Plitt, a former U.S. Army ranger, was pronounced dead at the scene after the accident, Us Weekly reported.
The news about Greg Plitt's death was confirmed by the authorities to NBC Los Angeles. The police reported that Plitt was walking on the tracks in an area where pedestrians are not allowed to cross, near Front Street in downtown Burbank, when he was struck by Metrolink Train 268 heading south from Lancaster on the Antelope Valley Line at 4:05 p.m.
Burbank Police Department Sgt. Scott Meadows said Plitt's death seemed to be "an accident."
"It does not appear to be a suicide," Meadows stated as quoted by PEOPLE. "A camera was seized as evidence but it's unclear who it belongs to - the victim or a witness. From the sound of it, he was filming something, but I can tell you that no filming permit had been issued."
News about the death of fitness legend Greg Plitt was considered by his fans and friends to be "an unbelievable loss for this world." According to The Daily Mirror, thousands have been paying tribute to the renowned fitness guru on social media.
