"Hannibal" Season 3 Spoilers - The highly-anticipated television comeback of "Hannibal" seems to take much longer as NBC announced that the series' premiere will be pushed to air this summer. Though fans will be less thrilled by the news, spoilers reassure that its third season's episodes will be worth the wait.

Some NBC executives had previously suggested that "Hannibal" Season 3 will be set to air in spring. However, Entertainment Weekly reported NBC Chairman Robert Greenblatt confirmed Friday that the critically acclaimed series has been pushed to premiere in summer.

"I thought we had said this publicly, maybe we hadn't..." Greenblatt said during the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour as quoted by IGN. "Hannibal's going to be back in the summer. It's a show we love. It's been critically acclaimed by a few of you in the room, if not many. We love it. We also love summer. We have a lot of good and exciting plans for summer."

"Summer doesn't affect the future of the seasons," the NBC chairman added after his executive session, HitFix reported. "Deal-wise, it's a great business deal for us, even at a low rating, which is why it's been for as long as it has been."

Though summer doesn't seem too ideal for the gory return of "Hannibal" Season 3, some fans are still quite excited for the show's television comeback after a prolonged hiatus.

Meanwhile, the first half of the third season will be focusing more on Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and Dr. Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) in Europe. And as we previously reported, "Hannibal's" third season has the possibility for a new cast list while Michael Pitt will be replaced by Joe Anderson as Mason Merger.

In the latest spoiler update by International Business Times, it was revealed that the upcoming season promises a possible romance for Will Graham (Hugh Dancy). TVLine reported that Graham would end up with a new wife as the series jumps ahead for a few years on its episode 8. Moreover, his new wife Molly, will help Graham forget some of the traumatic experiences he underwent in the series' first two seasons and she will also have a 12-year-old son.

Bryan Fuller has also teased about "Hannibal" Season 3 episode 7, "Digestivo," which will be one of the show's weirdest episode, as we previously reported. But its episode 8 brings "The Hobbit" actor Richard Armitage to play Francis Dolarhyde, who is also known as the Tooth Fairy killer, MStarz revealed.

The news about Dolarhyde's addition to the "Hannibal" Season 3 cast was announced in Twitter earlier this week. He will debut in its episode 8 and will be featured in the last 6 episodes of the third season.

Instead of spring, "Hannibal" Season 3 will wreak havoc on primetime television in the summer of 2015.
