Perhaps most Marvel fans are now aware that the third installment for the Marvel movie "Avengers" is set to be released more than two years from now. There are reports that the two-part movie will put an end to three iconic superheroes.
Movie Pilot said that "Avengers: Infinity War" will be the end for Thor, Captain America and Iron Man because Thanos will prove to be a very formidable character and that these three heroes will likely perish in battle.
Set for release in 2019, the deaths of these three pillars of the Avengers will usher in new superhero members, which were introduced in the previous blockbuster "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Marvel Chief Kevin Feige confirmed this in an interview and said that "Avengers: Infinity War II" will be the finale, said Realty Today.
The story thread will bring the heroes together in a war against Thanos (Josh Brolin), who somehow got possession of all the Infinity Stones.
In other developments, Bucky Barnes will take on the new mantle of Captain America with Sam Wilson (Falcon) as his trusted partner. Movie News Guide reported that Chris Evans' contract with Marvel ends with "Infinity War I."
Iron Man's fate is still undetermined after he screwed up with his Ultron project. "Iron Man 4" according to Robert Downey Jr. is unlikely.
For the hammer-wielding Asgardian, there are speculations that the film "Thor: Ragnarok" will have major changes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Chris Hemsworth's contract stipulates that he has only three film projects for Marvel.
Although the demise of the three superheroes might come as a disappointment for fans, the new superhero recruits are expected to provide variety and excitement for the group in their crusade for justice. Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, the Black Panther and Doctor Strange are among those heroes speculated to join the roster in the future.
"Avengers: Infinity War- Part I" & "Avengers: Infinity War- Part II" are due to release in May 2018 and May 2019 in theaters.
