Young Thug was arrested and charged with terroristic threats, Wednesday, as per a report confirmed by E! News.
A warrant was served to the 23-year-old rapper by the Dunwoody police in his home at Sandy Springs. According to Jim Joyner of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, he was taken to DeKalb County jail for initial appearance and bond hearing.
The cause of Young Thug's arrest was the incident that happened on July 7 in a mall, according to Timothy Fecht of Dunwoody Police Department. He reportedly got into an argument with the perimeter security guards after he was asked to leave the vicinity.
He was being escorted out of the area, for an undisclosed reason, when he made a threat to shoot the security guard in the face. Before the cops arrived, the rapper had already left.
The warrant, with terroristic threats, was issued eight days after the alleged altercation, according to Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The arrest was made at around 6 a.m., without an incident.
A search warrant was also issued by Sandy Spring police, together with the Federal agents.
Online jail records have no additional information about Young Thug's arrest, accoridng to the New York Daily News. It wasn't also confirmed if he had an attorney.
This wasn't the first arrest of the "Danny Glover" singer. In February 2014, he was charged with possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving, reckless conduct and driving without a seatbelt.
Young Thug's real name is Jeffrey Lamar Williams. Williams, who is best known for his debut single "Stoner," cited that his biggest influence is the American rapper Lil Wayne.
Wayne, on the other hand, released the diss track "Coco" imitating Young Thug style, following a $51 million lawsuit Wayne filed against the CEO of Cash Money Records — where Williams was affiliated.
Williams, who made several records with Kanye West, is a member of the Atlanta-based record label Gucci Mane.
