‘Thinking Out Loud’ Hitmaker Ed Sheeran Lands A Role In ‘The Bastard Executioner’

"Thinking Out Loud" singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran will have his big break on television this fall — it seems that the heartthrob singer does not just charm the girls with his lullaby but with his acting skill as well.
He will be seen in FX's upcoming drama "The Bastard Executioner," a medieval drama created by Kurt Sutter about the journey of a reluctant knight from King Edward I's court who is forced to become an executioner. The series will explore themes of violence and the human conscience.
According to Inquisitr, the 24-year-old heartthrob will play an evil knight named Sir Cormac in the 14th-century, an ambitious and deadly protégé of a church elder with a high rank.
Although it is not clear how many episodes Sheeran will be on, he will be joining Katey Segal, wife of Sutter, who has also appeared in FX's gritty biker drama, "Sons of Anarchy"; Brian F. O'Bryne, Lee Jones, Kyle Rees and more.
Ed Sheeran has been a fan of Sutter's work as he enjoyed Sutter's previous work, "Sons of Anarchy," so the singer is excited to work with Sutter in this new series.
The Aceshowbiz has learned that the "Lego House" heartthrob hitmaker has appeared as himself in a live episode of NBC's "Undateable" last May, so this may not be a big surprise for some of his fans to see Sheeran back on television.
He will be having a concert special entitled, "Ed Sheeran: Live at Wembley Stadium" that will be going to be aired on the same network later this summer.
Sheeran was only 16 when he decided to quit school and took off for London to launch his music career. Now, he is expanding his career by venturing into acting, adding more to his skillset that the girls are going crazy for, CBS News reported.
