Development studio CD Projekt Red has revealed the details of a new content update designed to fix the issues caused by patch 1.07 for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt."
But aside from fixing bugs, the upcoming patch 1.08 also comes with other features that will improve players' gameplay experience.
According to CD Projekt Red, after patch 1.07 was released, a number of gamers were restricted from using some if their items from their inventory. As noted by Gamepur, this was because the patch increased the required level for certain items.
But, through patch 1.08, gamers will be able to utilize the Wolven Hour potion, which was added by the studio to temporarily lower the level requirements of all items in the inventory.
With this potion, which will appear in the inventory once the patch has been installed, players will be able to use all of their items and gear within one hour. After that period, the original level requirements for the items will be restored.
Aside from this, the upcoming patch also improves the movements and actions of lead protagonist Geralt of Rivia, according to iDigital Times. Unlike before, the character will now be able to run without getting stuck due to a glitch in the system. Also, when decapitating an enemy, the chopped head will no longer disappear.
In addition, the update will feature a new control option that can reduce that damage on Geralt when falling or jumping off high places. With patch 1.08, players will have the option to perform a rolling motion when landing. According to the developer, a pop-up notification will appear with the patch to instruct players on how to execute this move.
CD Projekt Red also fixed certain issues regarding the game's graphics quality through the patch. The studio noted that it has eliminated certain visual glitches that used to cause environmental elements to disappear in the game.
The studio did not mention the exact release date for patch 1.08, but Dispatch Times reported that it might come out for the PC edition of "The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt" first before heading for the game's PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.
