Good news "Revenge" fans! ABC's hit psychological thriller series may have a spinoff, depending on the viewership and how the fans will take it.

Even though "Revenge" ended its four-season run in May, it seems that the vengeance-seeking saga is not over yet. According to TV Line, rumors have it that ABC executives are planning for a possible spin-off. During the Television Critics Association summer press tour, ABC President Paul Lee was asked about the series, in which he hinted the possibility that something might be underway.

"We didn't land that pilot but ... it's a wonderful brand; it's known around the world. That doesn't preclude us from doing it again," Lee said.

Last season, ABC and ABC Studios created "The Kingmakers," a drama that was considered an unofficial spin-off of "Revenge." The project shared its basic premise where a young person takes on a new identity to investigate the death of a loved one. Though the show was supposed to be a different and separate one from "Revenge," there have been plans and speculations that some of its previous cast members will make an appearance on the series.

Amanda Clarke's quest for vengeance may be officially over, but it does not mean that everyone at the Hamptons found their happy ending. As per Christian Today, Emily's friend Nolan Ross (Gabriel Mann) may have a television comeback. While Movie News Guide hinted the possibility of Emily VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe reprising their roles in the event that "Revenge" made a spinoff.

Meanwhile, showrunner Sunil Nayar also opened up about the possibility that some "Revenge" cast members might appear in "Revenge" producer Sallie Patrick's "The Kingmakers."

"The idea had been floated that a character or two from 'Revenge' could show up on her show," Nayar said. "The idea was to build [the two shows] in the same universe."

In 2012, "Revenge" became an instant hit show. It was considered a "critical brand" for the network. The whole concept of the series revolved around and was inspired by "The Count of Monte Cristo." However, the ratings of the show declined which eventually led to its cancellation after four seasons.
