Google, according to recent updates, reportedly chose two manufacturers for its Nexus this 2015 — LG and Huawei. Many have wondered why, and BGR may have just found a possible explanation for that.

A report from Korea appears to suggest that Google believes LG, who was approached by the company to make a smaller Nexus 5, might be the way to speed up the adoption of the company's mobile payment plan.

The payment plan called Android Pay will compete with Apple and Samsung Pay, and Google needs a Nexus handset to represent or provide a strong demo of how the mobile payment system will look like on Android M.

Huawei, on the other hand, was reportedly chosen by the company with the belief that it will pave the way for the company to make a mark in China.

Another reported possible explanation was that the company is just expanding the Nexus program to include more devices that would offer a sterling Android experience to its buyers. There are so many reasons for the company to launch more than just one Nexus phone this year, but as of this time, no official statements have been released yet.

Along with people's curiosity of why Google chose two manufacturers instead of one are the possible specs. Rumor has it that Huawei will be making a handset with a 5.7-inch display screen, while LG will be producing a 5.2-inch.

If LG will be making one Nexus, it's anticipated that the specs will follow closely to LG G4, the Expert Reviews learned. That would be a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset — a 64-bit chipset that's likely the same with the 6-core Snapdragon 808 in the recently released model.

A 2560X1440 with Full HD resolution is also expected. The same resolution is expected on the Huawei phone.

Evan Blass (@evleaks) took it on Twitter and posted, "Huawei Nexus sounds impressive so far: 5.7" QHD w/ metal body, SD820 SoC, fingerprint reader. Ships Q4."

In addition, Huawei Nexus is expected to have an internal memory of up to 64 GB, 4GB RAM, 13MP rear and 4MP front cam and a non-removable 3180mAh battery, International Business Times reported.

The leaks for the specifications of Google's Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 are not officially confirmed, but more updates will be given in the coming days.
