According to Stack Gamer, "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon 2: The Green Legend" was based on book 5 of the "Crane-Iron Pentalogy" series by Wang Du Lu with the title "Iron Knight, Silver Vase," the same book series which served as the groundwork for the original 2000 movie.
"Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon 2: The Green Legend" will focus on four martial arts champions who teamed up to keep the wicked Hades Da from acquiring possession of a magical sword.
Fans have talked about the upcoming flick and kayne-3 commented on IMDb that, "I hope they don't mess it up. It's got Donnie Yen and Michelle Yeoh in it so I am very positive about it so far. I would like to see what the story is though."

"Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon 2: The Green Legend" will premiere on Aug. 28 on Netflix and in IMAX.
