Ronda Rousey, UFC female bantamweight fighter, could land a career in Hollywood. Reports have been surfacing on different sites that she might take the lead role in the much awaited film "Captain Marvel."
Fans cited Rousey's Instagram post that she would like to play the super heroine Ms. Marvel/Carol Danvers. Additionally, she posted some of the fan made character designs of her in the famous Marvel costume. The post immediately went viral and landed on the Daily Mail as well.
Since the viral post, fans overwhelmingly suggest that she should play Captain Marvel. With that being learned, one of the Marvel's writer and director Kevin Smith reportedly endorsed Rousey and said that he "would like to see it happen."
"Everyone knows that she's one of the only people that could play a superhero that could actually beat the #$*^ out of somebody," Smith revealed on TMZ, as Comic Book noted.
It is not just her fans and Kevin Smith who believed that Rousey is ideal for the role as Cinema Blend also stated that it might be possible.
When it comes to acting skills, the source cited that it is not just because someone fits in the costume is already worth it. For example, they mentioned Ryan Reynolds in the Green Lantern costume and Ben Affleck as Daredevil, which they mentioned were allegedly failed to be a hit.
But they made it clear that Rousey has already been in a field where exposure is essential, especially that her fighting skills are undeniable. Considered that her presence had become so promising, she might be fit enough to play as the Captain if she will be inclined and committed to the project.
Well, Marvel fans and moviegoers alike might keep their fingers crossed and hope that Ronda Rousey gets the lead role.
Written by Meg LeFauve and Nicole Ferman, "Captain Marvel" will premiere in cinemas on Nov. 2, 2018.
