"Fallout 4" is one of those new games whose release is highly anticipated by many. However, parents who have a child below 17 years old might want to heed the advice from the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).
Recently, ESRB released the rating for "Fallout 4." Since the Bethesda's new game features foul language, violence and drug use, it received an "M" or mature rating, SegmentNext reported.
ESRB stated that the action role-playing game lets a player take the role of a fallout shelter resident traversing into an open-world after a catastrophic event. The players would need to complete a mission objective, kill another human survivor or mutants with the aid of machine guns, machetes, lasers and explosives.
Battles were described as frenetic. The gameplay features gunfires, explosions and blood-splatter effects, which appear realistic, and there were scenes showing severed heads and dismembered carcasses.
The summary also mentioned that while in the game, players can use a variety of fictional drugs, such as Buffout, Jet and Psycho, via the menu option, BidnessETC learned.
Rated "M" means that the ESRB are recommending this game to individuals ages 17 and above. Similar rating was also reportedly given to "Fallout 3" and other "Fallout" games.
"Fallout 4" for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be released on Nov.10. It can be pre-ordered on PSN, Steam, Xbox Live and other selected third party retailers.
Meanwhile, fans can remember that Bethesda released a special edition Pip Boy. It was so rare that it even got sold out in the United States.
Since then, avid "Fallout" gamers had a hard time finding it. According to GottaBeMobile, Bethesda reportedly confirmed that no additional stocks will be supplied.
Zenimax and Bethesda, after announcing the release of "Fallout 4" in Japan, mentioned that there will be a limited version of the game that will be packed with Pip Boy, GamingBolt's report stated. In short, it will be available in Japan.
The "Fallout 4" Pip Boy Edition that will be released in Japan reportedly costs $140, which is a bit expensive compared to the ones released in the United States and Europe.
