‘Scream Queens’ Season 1 [SPOILERS]: 5 Reasons Why Sorority Girls Should Watch FOX’s Dark Comedy-Horror Series

"Scream Queens" Season 1's premiere is just around the corner and sorority girls out there are definitely excited as "American Horror Story" creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk unite an ensemble cast. They will wreak havoc in the Kappa Kappa Tau sorority house after a sorority pledge had gone wrong two decades ago.
Among the cast of "Scream Queens" Season 1, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer and Ariana Grande will star as the sorority girls, while Jamie Lee Curtis will play the role of Dean Cathy Munsch, the sorority girls' house mom. They are also joined by Skyler Samuels, Billie Lourd, Diego Boneta, Lucien Laviscount, Glen Powell, Nick Jonas and Oliver Hudson.
As "Scream Queens" Season 1 centers on a college campus shook by several murders, here are 5 reasons why sorority girls should watch FOX's dark comedy-horror series.
1. Nasim Pedrad's comedic lines.
While there have been a lot of talks about the cast, one member has been unintentionally singled out and it's none other than Nasim Pedrad. You might have noticed her in "Saturday Night Live," but her character in the series will definitely make her shine more as she brings more humor and fun to the show, CarterMatt noted.
2. Emma Robert's pretty evil character!
Roberts will play the role of Chanel Oberlin, the pretty but heartless Kappa Kappa Tau sorority president who is also the meanest girl in campus. As Food World News described, her cruelness can't be compared to Regina George of "Mean Girls."
3. Miley Cyrus' hunk ex-beau Patrick Schwarzenegger.
"Scream Queens" Season 1 fans definitely screamed out loud when Ryan Murphy announced on Twitter that Schwarzenegger will join the cast. According to Melty, he will be making his debut on the show in November.
4. A glimpse of a college Greek life.
For a sorority girl, Greek life can seem absurd. But the "Scream Queens" will provide an amplified version of this scenario foreign to the student body. Complete with an administration out to sabotage it as well as an over-the-top fancy sorority house on Greek Row and a Greek life murderer, sorority girls can watch as the drama unfolds, as per Los Angeles Loyolan.
5. "Scream Queens" Season 1 will have a comedy vibe throughout the season but with terrifying plot twists.
Murphy is known for his baffling plot twists and though his upcoming series won't be as gruesome and the scares won't be disgusting compared to "American Horror Story," it will still have its share of massive thrills and bloodbath. The series will also have a new angle that focuses less on the horror and more on the quantity of murder brought by the school mascot, The Red Devil.
"It's similar to 'American Horror Story' in that it's anthological but different in that at the end of the first season there will only be four characters out of 25 left," Murphy said, as previously reported. "And those four in season two will go on to a new horror genre."
"Scream Queens" Season 1 will definitely make sorority girls laugh and scream as it premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. on FOX.
