Jeremy Lin, fresh from signing his new contract with the Hornets, experienced an annoying but funny situation when he went to the team's facility for the first time.

After his one year stint with the Los Angeles Lakers, Lin went with the Hornets to look for a fresh start.

"I wanted to be on a team where I would be able to play freely and truly play the game I love with joy again," Lin wrote on his site. "That has always been the most important thing to me." he added.

But a funny thing happened on his way to the facility because apparently, security of the arena did not recognize him.

According to Yahoo! Sports, as he went to the Hornet's arena, Lin said the security told him "What team?" signaling her lack of familiarity with the new Hornets player.

Mirroring a similar incident, an article piece way back 2010 chronicles an almost same situation Lin has experienced.

"His high school coach, Peter Diepenbrock, elaborated on the theme a bit. He pointed out that even people who don't mean any harm assume that Lin, whose parents came to the United States from Taiwan, doesn't have game. At least, not the same game as Kobe Bryant."

"The first time Lin went to a Pro-Am game at Kezar Pavilion in Golden Gate Park, his coach said, someone there informed him: "Sorry, sir, there's no volleyball here tonight. It's basketball."

Regarding the Hornet's arena incident, the spokesman for the team told the Associated Press that the team has no comment regarding the matter, NBC News has learned.

Jeremy Lin is now on his third team since the 2012 phenomenon, "Linsanity." Fans and analysts perceived Lin to be having a hard time adjusting on those new teams.

However, one writer from Space City Scoop cries that Lin does not get the respect he deserves, with the latest Hornets Arena fiasco serving as the latest proof.
