The Nike Chris Webber Shoe is coming back in 2016, and this is not a drill.
Fans of Sacramento Kings forward, Chris Webber, will finally have the chance again to cop this iconic sneaker. As reported by Sole Collector, the Nike Chris Webber Shoe AKA the "Nike Air Max Sensation," is confirmed by the Oregon sneaker company to be released this 2016.
The "Air Max Sensation" is reportedly going to be released in the first quarter of 2016 with three available colorways. Those said colorways come in Summit White/Varsity Red, Black/Varsity Royal and the White/Midnight Navy.
All three colorways of the Nike Chris Webber Shoe 2016 will have the retail price of $160.
According to Def Pen Radio, 2016 will also see the return of other several classic Nike silhouettes. Apart from the "Nike Air Max Sensation," the "Air Penny 2," the "Air More Uptempo" and the "Air Max 120" are also set for a 2016 release.
This move by Nike may come as a little bit of surprise because, even though Chris Webber is not a Swoosh-brand athlete anymore, the shoe company still decided to re-release his classic signature sneaker.
Fans of Chris Webber cannot really complain as it now gives them another chance to relive the moments, especially the time they witnessed the sneaker's original release.
Younger sneaker lovers, or "sneakerheads," whether fans of Webber or not, will also have the privilege of adding a classic sneaker to their collections.
As for Kicks On Fire, the Nike Chris Webber was described as definitely having that classic 90s look. A great way to add some retro flavor to your wardrobe this 2016.
However, even though the shoe was originally released as a basketball sneaker, this retro release of the "Nike Air Max Sensation" would suit the streets more rather than the basketball courts, as more comfortable and high-tech sneakers are readily available.
But if you're an old school type of player, feel free to try it on the hardwood or even at the blacktop courts around your neighborhood.
