“Tamasha” stars Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor’s scorching chemistry will make you want to fall in love as they bring Imtiaz Ali’s nomadic-love drama to the big screen.

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor are back to thrill their followers with their undeniably strong on-screen chemistry in “Tamasha.”

“Tamasha” is a story about Ranbir Kapoor’s Ved Sahni, an engineer in India who tags himself "Hero" because he has been living the life that everyone expects of him. While traveling in France, he met Deepika Padukone’s character, Mona Darling. The two then embark on a journey they never expected to happen.

In the trailer of “Tamasha,” Ranbir Kapoor’s character Ved meets Deepika Padukone’s Mona Darling in France and obviously he falls for her fancy-free personality. While the two traveled to Corsica together, everything is fun and breezy, amid songs, laughs and astounding scenic backgrounds. They were caught up with the moment and enjoyed spending time together. At the end of their journey, the two separated and went back to reality; Ved goes back to his daily routine and that’s when their relationship started to crack, Firstpost.com has learned.

It’s a story everyone’s heard of before which director Imtiaz Ali acknowledged in the trailer by posing the question, “Why always the same story?”

While the “Tamasha” trailer was breathtaking and made Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone fans feel giddy with excitement from watching their favorite couple’s intense on-screen chemistry, The Indian Express detailed it desperately lost because the plotline was something that was already viewed in the earlier movies of Imtiaz Ali, although different in measures and context.

Ali was known for creating and giving life to love affairs that spoke of long travels and the calmness in them. When you chance upon love while undertaking that, it’s greater than a blessing. However, the similarities between “Tamasha” and Imtiaz Ali’s previous films were too many to overlook. The movie’s trailer banks on former lovers Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor’s scorching on-screen chemistry which will be the greatest factor in hauling moviegoers to catch the movie.

Nevertheless, “Tamasha” might give Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor followers a feeling of déjà vu from their film “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.”

He said, “I learned a lot working with Deepika. We did our second film together, “Bachna Ae Haseeno,” and then we did “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,” which was a big hit. To see her grow as an actor and to this extent, was really heart-warming, encouraging and really inspiring for me,” as per India West.
