"Criminal Minds" Season 11 is set to premiere next week. And while rabid fans are patiently waiting, here are five interesting facts about the show's hunky star Shemar Moore.
1. Shemar has never been married.
Known for his chocolate abs and killer smile, it's not surprising that Mr. Moore has captivated the hearts of many beautiful ladies, with the list even growing each year. The "Criminal Minds" star may have dated the likes of Lauriane Gillieron, Gabrielle Richens Claduia Jordan and Bobbie Phillips among others as per FamousFix, but he has never tied the knot. But who knows? Now that he is pushing 50, he may be pulling a George Clooney anytime soon.
2. He admitted that he fell hard for "Catwoman" star Halle Berry.
Though he has become known as a serial dater in Hollywood, Shemar Moore has admitted in 2013 that there was one woman who really captured his heart fully and for him she was the first to do so. It is no other than Halle Berry. In an interview with BET.com, he said, "She was the first woman to really knock my socks off. I fell hard for Halle...I'm still grateful for that relationship. I was smitten not just because of who she was, but because we were so similar in so many ways."
3. He is currently dating someone half his age.
In between filming "Criminal Minds" Season 11, Moore has sufficient time to allot on romance. And it appears that he does have a new woman in his life. Just this week, TMZ spotted Moore in LA with his new girlfriend. Shemar's new girlfriend is 25-year-old Shawna Gordon who is an American football player. According to the small screen actor his new "baby girl" is so hot that "if she stands up and turns around you might just faint."
4. His first Hollywood romance was with Toni Braxton
After appearing in Toni Braxton's "How Many Ways" music video, Shemar captured the heart of the R&B singer-songwriter. Moore revealed two years ago that Braxton was his very first Hollywood relationship, but he also admitted that their connection was not as special as his romance with Halle Berry. "[She] was my first Hollywood relationship. I was a baby, I did not know s-t... I was like the little kid who found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It was a wild ride with Toni," he was quoted as saying by BlackAmericaWeb.com.
5. Shemar loves his baby girls.
The actor who plays FBI specialist Agent Derek Morgan in "Criminal Minds" values his fans whom he refers to as his baby girls. And as previously reported, Moore loves the fact that his baby girls are also helping his advocacy to find cure for multiple sclerosis, a disease his mother has been suffering with. He regularly updates his social media accounts with messages for his baby girls and he even chooses his "Baby Girl of the Day" from his fans who are patronizing his "Baby Girl" merchandise. The money he raises from this merchandise he dedicates to research on the immune system disease.
