"Rosewood" is the newest medical-crime series from Fox, which is set to premiere Wednesday night, Sept. 23, at 8 p.m. The television series will delve into the story of Dr. Beaumont "Rosie" Rosewood Jr., who's played by Morris Chestnut, a private pathologist who rents out large billboards to advertise his services to the residents of Miami.
So, as "Rosewood" premieres tonight, here are 5 interesting things to know about FOX's newest medical-crime series.
1. "Rosewood's" diagnostic powers would give House a run for his money.
Rosie's diagnostic skills would make Dr. Gregory House of Fox's "House M.D." feel like a fool, Boston Herald noted. He can look at a flop stain and diagnose pancreatic cancer.
2. "Rosewood" Cast
Aside from Chestnut, he will also be joined by Gabrielle Dennis, as Rosie's sister an "toxicology queen" Pippy, Anna Konkle as DNA specialist Tara, Lorraine Toussaint as Rosie and Pippy's mom Donna and Jaina Lee Ortiz as Detective Annalise Villa.
3. "Rosewood's" Magic City Lab
Magic City Lab is some sort of industrial warehouse where Rosie works out. Though the laboratory is super fancy, high-tech and state-of-the-art, it still looks completely unhygienic for any sort of examinations.
4. "Rosewood's" Detective Annalise Villa and Dr. Rosie is Fox's latest love team?
Rosie will team up with Detective Annalise, who just returned to Miami after a stint in the NYPD. According to Screenfad, Annalise is less-than-impressed by Rosie's, charm, confidence and work style, but she is impressed by his talent as a pathologist. But both will have a connection because of their tragic pasts. While the reasons for Annalise's promotion will be revealed at the end of the episode, Rosie will have his own medical troubles. And because of his complicated relationship with death, he believes that every moment of life should be lived to the fullest.
5. "Rosewood" is totally an eye candy.
If Chestnut's ridiculously handsome face wasn't enough to grab your attention, then his shirtless scenes will definitely make you ogle. As per Fashion & Style, a few glances of shirtless Dr. Rosewood as soon as the first episode will definitely make the viewers as instant fans.
