The "Rise of the Tomb Raider" holiday bundle for Xbox One is a smart initiative of Microsoft according to GottaBe Mobile. Potential buyers will no longer have to spend so much time just to get a copy of the highly-anticipated game and the Xbox One console — it's like hitting two birds with one stone.
Many fans are already excited about this new package deal, but it pays to know some details first before jumping right into it. Here are the five must-know things about the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" holiday bundle.
1. Console Design and Hard Drive
The Xbox One console is reportedly not themed, which most of the critics find strange. This means that the console will come in its default color, which is jet black.
The hard disk drive, just like the other bundles, has 1TB of space. This will enable the players to play and store more games.
2. Tactical Survivor Pack
This is only exclusive to the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" holiday bundle, as per the blog post in Xbox Wire. It will reportedly equip Lara Croft with a new outfit, have her abilities and spec-ops tactical gear, which are taken from the enemies, upgraded.
3. "Rise of the Tomb Raider" and "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition"
A code for a digital version of the game is reportedly included in the bundle, together with the code for "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition," an HD remake of 2013 "Tomb Raider."
4. Release Date
The holiday bundle will be released on Nov. 3, which is one week before the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" game is released. It will be exclusive to Best Buy and Microsoft stores in the United States, The International Business Times learned.
The partnership of Microsoft with Square Enix will give Xbox One and Xbox 360 a temporary exclusivity to the game. Reports suggest that Sony's PS4 and Windows will have to wait until the next fall for the game to be released in their platform.
5. Price
The "Rise of the Tomb Raider" holiday bundle for Xbox One is priced at $399.
