Candace Cameron Bure is known for starring on the hit ‘90s show “Full House,” but not everyone knows who her husband is. Meet Valeri Bure, the man who has captured the heart of the D.J. Tanner actress and has kept it beside his own for almost two decades now.
According to Heavy, Candace Cameron Bure's husband is Valeri Bure, a retired hockey player who was introduced to "The View" co-host by her "Full House" co-actor Dave Coulier back in the day.
Valeri, who was born in Moscow, Russia, used to be an ice hockey right winger, playing for a number of teams including the Spokane Chiefs, Florida Panthers, Dallas Stars and Calgary Flames, among others.
Bure was the #33 draft of the Montreal Canadiens during the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, as noted by HockeyDB.com.
A year after "Full House" went off the air in 1995, Candace and Valeri became husband and wife. From 1996 to the present time, the two are still together and are happily married and content with their three kids: Natasha, Lev and Maksim.
In her own website, candacecameronbure.net, the Netflix's "Fuller House" actress revealed that she met at a charity hockey game in Los Angeles with the help of Coulier, who played Joey Gladstone in "Full House."
Candace also acknowledged in her site that her most important roles in life are being a wife and a mother.
Speaking of her marriage to Valeri Bure, Candace Cameron told People in May, "Sometimes you're nicer to strangers than you are to your spouse. You forget to do things that you promised you would do. You get comfortable and lazy. That happens in every marriage."
Candace also noted that it really takes work to make a marriage work adding that "You can either grow apart or grow together."
In July 2014, Candace Cameron Bure, who has stayed married with husband Valeri for 19 years now, revealed her secret on how to make marriages work.
"We have to schedule time together. But the other part is making sure that we stay connected sexually," the "The View" co-host to Us Weekly at the time.
She then went on to say, "That's a very fulfilling part of a marriage. When you're happy sexually, it kinda just balances the rest of the stuff out. You're not so mad at each other, you're not nit-picking at the little things."
