"Five Nights at Freddy's" creator Scott Cawthon may have confirmed that there wasn't going to be a "FNaF 5," but that doesn't mean he is going to stop making horror games. In fact, Design & Trend learned that he has plans of developing one soon.
One fan posted an inquiry on Steam Community directed to Cawthon, asking him if he will be working on other horror titles. He/she also expressed his/her curiosity on other ideas in the game developer's mind.
"Yes, and I already have an idea for one," he replied.
Cawthon's response caused an uproar in the forums. One fan suggested a gameplay where the player can roam around the hospital, and crazy doctors and nurses would come and kill you.
A few follow-up questions came in after his post, like what will it be about, what kind of software he will use, will it be different from the "FNaF" series or will it be animatronic-based? Unfortunately, the game maker did not provide any additional details.
Fans expressed their excitement and hoped that the "Five Nights at Freddy's" creator will be making the announcement soon.
Cawthon made an announcement that his next project, following "Five Nights at Freddy's 4," isn't going to be scary. The game is called "FNaF World," and it's currently under development.
What sets this "FNaF" world apart from the "Five Nights at Freddy's" series is that it is no longer a horror-survival game, rather, an adventure-type of game, according to Cinemablend.
While he decided to use the animatronics as characters in his upcoming game, which is an RPG, he made sure that they look really cute and adorable. The "FNaF" community calls them "toon" version.
Other than the characters and the type of game, details about Cawthon's new game is still under the wraps.
"FNaF World" will be launching on PC, iOS and Android, but the release date is not yet confirmed.
