“Metal Gear Online” has just arrived with the official Twitter account of the game announcing the good news to players on Monday, in preparation for the game’s launch at 12 a.m. PDT Tuesday.

The new "Metal Gear Online" is "Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain's" multiplayer component, in which gamers can enjoy this Tuesday for console users. The PC version will not be available until January next year.

Japanese gamers are the first ones to get access to the add-on files for the "Metal Gear Online" which is said to be "relatively light" at 950MB, as per GamesRadar

Since "MGO" is an add-on and not an update, players can only get access to the files via the PlayStation Store when the game is already available in the players' region. Once players have the add-on files, they need to wait for "Metal Gear Online" to go live to enjoy the game.

For Xbox One and PS4, "Metal Gear Online" supports 16 players, while for the PS3 and the Xbox 360, only 12 players are supported, according to VG247

Meanwhile, GameSpot's Mike Mahardy had a blast in trying out the new "Metal Gear Online," which starts with customization. In this third-person shooter, gamers will delight over the fact that they can fully customize players to extreme lengths. They can even customize the characters all day if they want to if they have very particular needs and wants they want their characters to meet.

The character perks are just extensive, and the same can be said of the weapons and gears each character can sport in the game.

"Metal Gear Online" comes with three classes players can choose from: Infiltrator, Scout and Enforcer. The Infiltrator is said to be the best class if you are after the fun and excitement of attacking enemies in camouflage mode. This class of characters particularly excel in close-range combat. Since they are quick, infiltrators can sneak up on enemies and easily kidnap them as well.

The Scout class is a well-balanced class of characters. For players who want to have characters that are good in combat and can carry out support roles, the Scout class is very ideal. Scouts are exemplary when it comes to spotting enemies from afar and they are good in using snipers.

Finally, the Enforcer class is good for players who want real action in close contact. The characters belong to this class have a variety of equipment and weaponry for explosive combats and they also have good stamina for fast-paced and incessant shooting.

Don't miss "Metal Gear Online" when it goes live this Tuesday. Destructoid suggests "please continue to check the patch availability on your chosen platform(s) as we near 10/6 in all regions."
