"The Last Of Us 2's" latest's update is saying that Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann, admitted that he lied to fans with some trailers. The trailer in question? The one that show's Joel getting infected and Ellie forced to kill him.

As reported by Movie News Guide, Neil Druckmann, the company's creative director and programmer said that they chose some deceptive tactics for the latest "The Last of Us" Trailer in order to make fans continue guessing,

In an interview with the Official PlayStation Magazine, Druckmann said, "That [trailer about Joel being infected, eventually forcing Ellie to kill him] was constructed in such a way so that people would guess that and think that that's the obvious ending, and then we could turn it on them."

As expected, the move was successful and fans went crazy with speculations. Last year, during a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" session, the creative director discussed the status of the game and said that it currently has a 50/50 chance of being done.

Just a few months later, Naughty Dog voice actor Nolan North then said that the company was doing it however, "The Last Of Us" lead actor Troy Baker then said that he does not know anything about the sequel to the hit game.

Obviously, "The Last Of Us 2's" development is quite confusing and in case it does get made, Gaming Bolt stated some of the things that they don't like to see in the next installment like featuring the same characters, same place of setting and having just a single ending.

Great horror games nowadays are hard to come by, so that's why many are anticipating the sequel to the game. But another title is also making fans feeling disappointed. Just this year, Konami's supposedly upcoming game "Silent Hills," a collaborative effort between Hideo Kojima and acclaimed director Guillermo Del Toro, was cancelled.

And to say that fans are disappointed would be a bit understatement. According to Destructoid, the newest "Silent Hill" game was supposed to work similar to "The Last Of Us." And as said by Del Toro, the game's cancellation absolute makes "no f—king sense."

Right now, fans are just waiting for Del Toro and Hideo Kojima to start a Kickstarter campaign for the horror game.
