"Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter," sequel to "Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments," is currently in the works, according to the recent announcement of Frogwares.
We share the fans' excitement about the news, and many are eager to learn more information about the latest addition to the "Adventures of Sherlock Holmes." So, here are the five things that we have learned so far about "Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter."
1. "Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter" has a new publisher.
The game's prequel was published by Focus Home Interactive, an independent video game publisher and at the same time developer based in Paris, France.
This installment however, will be published by Bigben Interactive, Destructoid has learned. The company's headquarters is based in Lesquin in the North of France.
2. "Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter" gameplay
The game will have several suspects, and as a player, you will need to take on five thrilling cases, according to the blog posted on Bigben's site. It also promises a unique interactive experience, which includes being able to roam around the enlarged landscape of playable terrain freely.
The streets of Victorian, London will be brought to life by state-of-art graphics, the blog further indicated.
3. "Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter" storyline changes
It has been reported that the newest addition to the game franchise will have more focus on drama and action. More so, the game promises that for the first time in Sherlock Holme's career, his ruthless logic will reportedly be overwhelmed by stories about family, compelling emotions and occult retributions.
4. "Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter" to make an appearance at Paris Games Week?
Frogwares will formally showcase the latest addition to the Sherlock Holmes game franchise during the Paris Games Week, as per the report of Ubergizmo. The event will kick off on Oct. 28 and will last through Nov. 1.
5. "Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter" release date
Frogwares and Bigben Interactive confirmed that the game will be released in Spring 2016, PC Gamer reported. It will be available on Sony's Microsoft's PS4, PC and Xbox One.
The "Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" video game series is based on the character of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's best-selling novel. The game's first installment was released in 2002, and it was entitled "Sherlock Holmes: The Mystery of the Mummy."
Frogwares then released "Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Silver Earring" in 2004, "Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened in 2006," "Sherlock Holmes versus Arsène Lupin" in 2007, "Sherlock Holmes: The Mystery of the Persian Carpet in 2008," "Sherlock Holmes versus Jack the Ripper" in 2009, and "Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments" in 2014.
